St. George’s, Grenada - January 14th, 2008: Cable & Wireless today announces the availability of the new BlackBerry® Pearl™ 8120 smart-phone. The BlackBerry Pearl 8120 includes rich multimedia features together with all the powerful communications functionality users have come to expect from a BlackBerry® smartphone.

The BlackBerry Pearl 8120 features a 2 megapixel digital camera with video capture capability, an externally accessible microSD/SDHC slot and built-in Wi-Fi®. An updated visual interface also adds to the renowned BlackBerry® smartphone experience for email, phone, messaging, web browsing, multimedia, organizer and other applications.

Blackberry users now have the ability to lock on to Wireless Internet Networks wherever their travels take them, providing secure and instant access to their business and personal websites. BMobile product executive, Vidya Singh, says “Customers have been anxiously waiting for the new WiFi Blackberry, as it gives their hand-held data device the same versatility as a laptop, allowing users the freedom to access C&W free wireless internet Hot Spots and other wireless networks wherever they go.”

The new and powerful BlackBerry Pearl 8120 features include:
• A 2 megapixel camera with 5x digital zoom and enhanced flash, as well as video capture in two resolutions: for picture sharing via MMS.
• An ultra-sleek, lightweight design
• User friendly Track-ball navigation and SureType Keyboard
• Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE capability and built-in Wi-Fi (with support for Wi-Fi security protocols including WEP (Wireless Equivalency Protocol), WPA (Wi-Fi Protected Access) and WPA2. 
• Roxio® Media Manager for BlackBerry®, a powerful media manager application that allows users to easily search for media files on their computer, view and organize them.

• Premium phone features including noise cancellation technology to offset background noise, Speaker Independent Voice Recognition (SIVR) for Voice Activated Dialing (VAD),

• Externally memory slot for additional storage, and support for high-speed USB allowing users to transfer files between the handset and a PC.

The new WiFI Blackberry Pearl is now only available at Cable & Wireless retail stores which carry the entire suite of WIFI Blackberry Data Devices including the new WIFI Huron and the WIFI Curve.
