St.GEORGE’S, GRENADA – The Grand Prize winners in the Cable &
Wireless Christmas Promotion were presented with their prizes with
pomp and ceremony last Friday, 15th February by a high
powered team from Cable & Wireless and Corporate Partners, lead by
Chief Executive (CE) of Cable & Wireless, Ian Blanchard. A total of
Thirty Thousand Dollars ($30,000) in cash and prizes was presented
to three excited winners.
A
trip for two to New York valued at $10,000, a $10,000 shopping spree
at Courts and $10,000 cash were won by Lydia Francois, Sandra Aban
and Catherine Alfred respectively. The presentation team journeyed
to the homes and offices of the winners in order to make the
presentations. Commenting on the event CE Ian Blanchard said “At
Cable & Wireless we believe in making our customers feel extra
special. We felt that it was only fitting to bring these fabulous
prizes to our winners and share in their joy.” No doubt the
presentation of bouquets and champagne toasts added to the moment
for the lucky customers. Emotions ran high as heartfelt thanks were
expressed by all three winners.
The Christmas Promotion ran from 21 November 2007 to 5 January 2008.
Over 16,000 customers won a total of approximately $550,000
in cash and prizes through their regular business transactions with
the Company. There were over 80,000 entries in the Grand Prize
draws.
Recently Cable & Wireless launched its “Win That Ride” promotion and
soon one lucky customer will drive away in style in a Volkswagen
Cross Polo valued at over $70,000. Commenting on the promotions
Marketing Communications Manager Sheldon Keens-Douglas said “We love
to give back to our customers. Coming off of a great Christmas
Campaign we have now launched our biggest promotion for the year
2008. We are excited about the new promotion and the feedback from
our customers is great. We thank our customers for their patronage
and look forward to continuing to delight them.”
