Home/Pro Installation

  • Open Control Panel, Networks, TCP/IP Ethernet ... OR
  • Right click on Network Neighbourhood, select Properties, select TCP/IP Ethernet for Windows 95, 98, 98SE. My Network Places for WIndows ME.
  • Record default settings then change to settings specified below
  • Enter the following address in your Browser's address bar: http://10.0.0.138/
  • Click on 'PPTP'
  • Delete all PPTP connections using the 'Delete' buttons on page
  • Click on 'Bridge' when finished
  • Delete Bridging Ports using 'Delete' button
  • Click on 'Phonebook'
  • The Phonebook page appears
  • Delete all entries using 'Delete' buttons
  • In the input fields enter the following as indicated below: Name: CWGND; VPI: 0; VCI: 33; Type: pptp
    Click on 'Add'
    Click on 'PPTP'
  • In the input fields enter the following as indicated below: Name: CWGND; Encap: LLCSNAP; HDLC Framing: never; State: -
    Click on 'Add'
    Click on 'Phonebook'
  • Ensure usage status is 'configured'
  • In a networked environment, enter assigned IP address and subnet mask to modem
  • Save all

Home/Pro Installation Windows 2000

  • Click on Start, Settings, Network and Dialup Connections
  • Double Click on 'Make New Connection'
  • Click on Next
  • Select 'Connect to a Private Network through the Internet'
  • Click on Next
  • Select 'Do not dial the initial connection'
  • Click on Next
  • Enter the IP address of the modem (default address is 10.0.0.138)
  • Click on Next
  • Select 'For all users'
  • Clik on Next
  • Enter a name for your connection
  • Click on Finish
  • Double click on the new connection
  • Click on 'properties'
  • Select the 'Security' tab
  • Remove the check from 'Require data encryption'
  • Click on OK
  • Enter username and password
  • Click on 'Connect'
